I am Virginia and I live in Valencia. I suppose that most of you, if not all, live in Valencia as well. But, where do we exactly live? Yes, yes. You will say that we live in Spain, in Europe, more precisely. But, it's not enough. In which part of the Earth do we live? In which point of the Earth do we live? How can we know where we exactly live?
Geographic coordinates are imaginary lines that help us to locate an exact spot on the Earth's surface.
You can use this application to find out the geographic coordinates of any place.
As all of you know, Burt Simpson and his family live in Springfield. But, where is Springfield? In America? Look at this map!
You have to discover where the Burt's birthplace is, where it is located, by using Google Maps and finding out in which hemisphere it is, its geographic coordinates, its latitude and longitude. We will share a map where each of you will locate the Burt's town.
Finally, we will complete a grid with the local time for each town according to the time zone it has.
